Meet the Alchemist

Nineteen years ago, I was working with teachers and children — building people, shaping outcomes, watching humans grow into their potential. That work never left me. It just moved into a different room.

The room changed. The work stayed the same.

Over the past 15 years, I have built a career in human resources and compensation across technology, manufacturing, agriculture, and education. I have advised directors and senior leaders on some of the most consequential decisions a business can make — workforce restructurings, pay equity analyses, executive compensation design, leave administration, and the hard conversations that determine whether people leave an organization with their dignity intact.

I have sat at tables where the decisions were real, and the stakes were high. I know what it feels like to hold the thread of an entire department in your hands and be responsible for whether it holds.

Here is what I know after 15 years that I wish someone had told me on day one.

HR professionals are not administrators. We are not a cost centre. We are not the people you call when something has already gone wrong.

We are strategists. We see every department from the bird's-eye view that almost no one else in a business has access to. We control the largest line item in most company budgets — the cost of people, recruiting, benefits, systems, and compliance. We hold the data that tells leadership what is actually happening versus what they think is happening. We have the power to make or break a culture, to protect a business from legal exposure that could cripple or close it, and to build the kind of workforce that makes everything else possible.

Most of us hold master's degrees, multiple certifications, and decades of hard-won expertise.

And most of us are still treated like we are not quite in the room. That ends here.

The CompAlchemist exists because I kept seeing the same gap.

HR professionals and consultants navigating genuinely complex compliance and compensation questions — leave law, pay equity, executive comp, AI workflow, substance use in the workplace — with tools that were not built for them. Generic. Watered down. Created by people who have never been in the room where these decisions get made.

I built CompAlchemist to close that gap.

Every tool in this catalogue was built from the inside out — by someone who has lived the complexity, navigated the legislation, sat across from executives, and understood what it actually costs to get it wrong.

The AI amplifies the expertise. The expertise is real.

That is the difference.
